John Moores and Charles Noell started Merribelle Stable in 2013 as an international operation. Merribelle has based in the U.S. and Ireland and is active in breeding as well as racing.
Their top U.S.-based horse, Blue Prize, acquired in 2016 after racing in Argentina where she was foaled. Blue Prize emerged as a leader in the older filly and mare division during 2018-19, winning the Juddmonte Spinster Stakes both years and the Longines Breeders’ Cup Classic in 2019.
