America’s Best Racing caught up with Yoshito Yahagi, trainer of world-traveling superstar Forever Young, at the Keeneland September yearling sale. Yahagi discussed the significance of bringing Japan-based Forever Young over to the United States to run in the 2026 Jockey Club Gold Cup at Belmont Park Sept. 18 on the New York track’s historic reopening.
The trainer also chatted about how Forever Young has settled in at Belmont, his continued development as a racehorse, and his unique personality and then outlined his plans for the 5-year-old leading up to a repeat bid in the $7 million Longines Breeders’ Cup Classic Oct. 31 at Keeneland.
