My Gun's Loaded

My Gun's Loaded made her career debut as a 2-year-old at Oaklawn Park in the waning days of 2025 and got her first win in her second career race when she defeated maidens going seven furlongs at Saratoga on July 6, 2026.

The 2026 Saratoga meet would become a memorable one for My Gun's Loaded as she would go on to become one of the star horses of the Spa summer season. My Gun's Loaded cruised to a three-length victory in a one-mile allowance optional claiming race on July 24 in a performance that would send her up in class for her stakes debut in her next start.

My Gun's Loaded subsequently would make her stakes debut in the featured race of the Saratoga season for 3-year-old fillies in the Grade 1 $600,000 Alabama Stakes presented by Keeneland Sales going 1 1/4 miles at Saratoga on Aug. 22. Sent off as the 3.31-1 second choice on the tote board in a six-horse field, the big question for My Gun's Loaded in the Alabama was not based on her ability, but rather it was whether or not she could defeat the prohibitive 0.38-1 favorite, Counting Stars? In the end, My Gun's Loaded lived up to her name in the Alabama. She was loaded all the way and prevailed over the favorite and the rest of the field after stalking the pace and then gobbling up the added 1 1/4-mile distance and using it to her advantage to prove best in the stretch.

My Gun's Loaded, trained since the start of her 3-year-old season by Chad Brown, was bred in Kentucky by the sire Gun Runner out of the dam Strive by Congrats.
