After a very busy week in the Thoroughbred industry focused largely on Saratoga (racing, Hall of Fame induction, yearling auctions), the action shifts north of the border this weekend to Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto, Ontario, which is scheduled to host the $1 million King’s Plate on Saturday, Aug. 15. The King’s Plate is the first jewel of Canada’s Triple Crown for 3-year-old Thoroughbreds and features a 12-horse field of Canada-breds topped by morning-line favorite Luster.
The King’s Plate and five other stakes races Saturday at Woodbine will be broadcast live on FanDuel TV. That network will also show live racing from tracks including Del Mar, Ellis Park, Gulfstream Park, and Monmouth Park.
NYRA’s “Saratoga Live” continues it summer schedule with a five-day run from Wednesday, Aug. 12, through Sunday, Aug. 16, with a three-hour bloc Saturday afternoon on FOX. The show also airs on FS1 and FS2 – check the below schedule for channels and times. A special live show covering the Dan Patch Stakes and other harness races from Hoosier Park airs Friday evening, Aug. 13 on FS2.

Presented by Woodbine, “King’s Plate Live Show” has a tentative start time of 4:30 p.m. ET and will stream on ABR’s Facebook, X, and YouTube channels.
