Take Charge Star (IRE)

Take Charge Star began his racing career in Ireland as a 2-year-old and scored his maiden win in his second lifetime start at Gowran Park on Sept. 2. 2025. As a 3-year-old, he ran second in the Group 3 Jersey Stakes at Ascot on June 20, 2026.

Take Charge Star was brought over to race in North America for the first time in 2026 and won his debut American outing in a rich stakes spot at Kentucky Downs when victorious in the $1.5 million Grade 2 Mint Franklin-Simpson Stakes going 6 1/2 furlongs on Sept. 7. Take Charge Star raced last in a 12-horse field much of the way in the Franklin-Simpson Stakes until unleashing a devastating late rally to go from last to first for a comfortable 1 3/4-length win under the wire.
