Ka Ying Rising Again Leads Longines World’s Best Racehorse Rankings, White Abarrio Ranked Fifth
RacingSprinting sensation Ka Ying Rising [130] leads the second edition of the Longines World’s Best Racehorse Rankings for 2026.
The Hong Kong-based gelding extended his winning streak to 20 during the second period of recordkeeping by Longines, taking a Group 2 stakes and then a Group 1 at Sha Tin each by 4 ¼-length margins.
Three horses – English Two Thousand Guineas winner Bow Echo, Hong Kong’s long-distance standout Romantic Warrior, and French-bred and based Group 1 winer Daryz – hold a 126 ranking from Longines.
White Abarrio, who impressively won the Oaklawn Handicap over Sovereignty and Journalism April 18, is the highest-ranked U.S.-based horse by Longines, tied for fifth at a 124 rating with English-bred Opera Ballo, winner of two Group stakes so far this year including the Jebel Hatta Presented by Longines in Dubai. Dubai World Cup Sponsored by Emirates Airline winner and Magnitude and Sovereignty are the second highest-ranked U.S.-based horses, tied for eighth with a 122 Longines rating.
