Point Dume

Point Dume needed four starts to earn his first career victory but won in stylish fashion with an 11-length runaway on New Year’s Eve 2023 at Laurel Park. He followed with a 3 ½-length win in his 3-year-old bow Feb. 4, 2024, at Laurel Park at the same three-quarter-mile distance.

The Into Mischief gelding enjoyed a consistent sophomore season with two wins and nine top-three finishes in 11 starts, including a runner-up finish in the Miracle Wood Stakes.

Point Dume won five of 13 starts with a trio of runner-up finishes during his 5-year-old season, highlighted by his first stakes victory in the M.P. Ballezzi Appreciation Mile Stakes at Parx Racing. He also finished second in the Kris Kringle Stakes Dec. 31, 2025 at Parx.

Point Dume opened his 6-year-old season with three straight wins in 2026. He won a 6 ½-furlong handicap in January at Laurel Park before securing the second stakes win of his career in the General George Stakes there Feb. 14, leading from start to finish to dominate by 3 ¾ lengths for trainer Timothy Kreiser and owner Bush Racing Stakes. Point Dume’s third victory in the streak came in his graded stakes debut in the Grade 2 Carter Stakes Presented by NYRA Bets April 4 at Aqueduct, where he turned away reigning champion sprinter Book’em Danno to prevail by a neck.

Multiple Grade 1-placed winner Maya Malibu, by Malibu Moon, is the dam (mother) of Point Dume. His grandam (maternal grandmother) is Grade 1 winner Island Sand, the runner-up in the 2004 Kentucky Oaks.
