Scott Serio is the founder and chief photographer of Eclipse Sportswire LLC, an international Thoroughbred racing photography agency. An award‑winning photojournalist and two‑time Media Eclipse Award recipient, he covers premier events such as the Kentucky Derby, Preakness, and Breeders’ Cup. Serio retired as a Detective Lieutenant from the Baltimore Police Department and returned to photography full‑time while earning his master’s in journalism. He now leads a team that has earned six Eclipse Awards and is recognized as official photographers for major racing organizations.
