Maida finished fourth in her May 2025 debut but then reeled off three consecutive open-length wins while racing on the Mid-Atlantic circuit, ending with an eight-length blowout in the six-furlong Weather Vane Stakes at Laurel Park in September She then shipped to Keeneland for her first graded stakes attempt and finished sixth in the Grade 2 Lexus Raven Run Stakes.

The Improbable filly did not return to the track for her 4-year-old debut until June 27, 2026, after a layoff of just over seven months. She showed no rust whatsoever and reached a new form level in the 6 ½-furlong Alma North Stakes at Laurel, romping by 10 ½ lengths. Following that, trainer Brittany Russell moved Maida back into graded stakes company in the Grade 2 Honorable Miss Stakes Presented by Mionetto. Sent off at odds of 6.82-1 in a seven-horse field, Maida took control of the pace early, turned back a bid from odds-on favorite Grand Job in early stretch, and held off a rally by Haulin Ice to win the six-furlong Honorable Miss by 1 ¼ lengths. She improved to five wins in seven starts with the victory.

Homebred in Kentucky by Harry Papaleo, Maida is out of the Grade 3-winning Five Star Day mare Eve Giselle.
