Baytown Dreamer outran giant 84-1 odds to finish third, just three-quarters of a length out of second, in the $250,000 Smarty Jones Stakes going 1 1/16 miles at Oaklawn Park on Jan. 3, 2026. The Smarty Jones was a points race on the Road to the Kentucky Derby, and with his third-place finish he earned three qualifying points.
Prior to the Smarty Jones, Baytown Dreamer had won one of eight starts with a third-place finish in the Global Tote Juvenile Mile Stakes on the grass at Kentucky Downs.
