Troubleshooting scored his breakout win in the Grade 1 $2 million Ainsworth Franklin-Simpson Stakes on Sept. 6 at Kentucky Downs, topping a 12-horse field of 3-year-olds sprinting 6 1/2 furlongs on the turf. Troubleshooting then made it two stakes wins in a row when he topped a 12-horse field by a neck to win the Grade 3 $600,000 Bryan Station Stakes going one mile on the turf at Keeneland on Oct. 25.
