Obliteration won her 2-year-old career debut at first asking in fine fashion when she creamed a maiden field by 7 1/2 lengths going 5 1/2 furlongs at Churchill Downs on June 12, 2025. Obliteration then wasted no time squaring off against stakes company and was again successful when winning as the Grade 3 $175,000 Sanford Stakes going six furlongs at Saratoga on July 5. Sent off as the odds-on 0.90-1 favorite in a six-horse field, Obliteration obliterated the competition by a winning margin of 10 1/2 lengths.
