Bless the Broken won her career debut by 10 ¾ length in July 2024 at Evangeline Downs. She was unplaced in the Demoiselle Stakes at Aqueduct in her final start as a 2-year-old in her first try on the Kentucky Oaks trail.

The Laoban filly showed improvement at 3 when running second to Simply Joking in the Fasig-Tipton Silverbulletday Stakes on a sloppy track in January and a distant third in the $300,000 Fasig-Tipton Rachel Alexandra Stakes. She earned a breakthrough win when rallying from off the pace to win by 2 ¾ lengths March 22 in the $300,000 Bourbonette Oaks on the all-weather Tapeta Footings surface at Turfway Park.
That victory set Bless the Broken up for a start in the May 2, $1.5 million Longines Kentucky Oaks at Churchill Downs, and she ran a creditable third on the sloppy track while no threat to winner Good Cheer.
Bless the Broken is out of the Tapit mare The Nightengale, who is a half-sister to $2 million earner and 2013 Kentucky Oaks winner Princess of Sylmar.
