Abientot

Abientot was purchased by owner Tracy Farmer for $210,000 as a yearling at the 2023 Keeneland September Sale. The Not This Time filly made her career debut for Mark Casse on June 21, 2024, and finished fourth in a six-furlong turf sprint at Belmont at the Big A, and then graduated when shortened up a half-furlong in a turf dash at Saratoga on July 18. She rallied late to win by a half-length under jockey Dylan Davis.

The filly was then elevated to stakes competition and ran in the Bolton’s Landing Stakes Aug. 18 at Saratoga. That 5 ½-furlong race was taken off the turf and run on Saratoga’s dirt track, and Abientot finished last of seven. For her fourth start, the filly was shipped to Kentucky Downs for its boutique meet, and rallied late to nab third in the Untapable Stakes held at 6 ½ furlongs on turf.

Abientot then returned to New York for the Grade 3 Matron Stakes Oct. 6 at Belmont at the Big A. With regular rider Davis aboard, the made a six-wide rally in the stretch and proved best late, winning the six-furlong turf race by a neck.

Kentucky-bred Abientot is out of the unraced More Than Ready mare Ready Ready Ready and is a half-sister to Canadian champion colt Mr. Hustle. Jim Dandy Stakes winner and sire Laoban is another notable family member.
