Fierceness Sets Track Record in 4-Year-Old Debut, Thorpedo Anna Defeated in La Troienne
The final major weekend of North American “Win and You’re In” Breeders’ Cup qualifiers is fast approaching, and activity will be constant – and exciting – at three U.S. racetracks as well as at Longchamp Racecourse in France. Keeneland Race Course in Lexington, Ky., kicks off its Fall Stars weekend Friday, Oct. 4, and over three consecutive days will host eight Challenge Series races. At Belmont and the Big A (Aqueduct) in New York, four “Win and You’re In” preps will be held on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 5, while Santa Anita Park in southern California conducts its final three preps on Saturday.
And at Longchamp, the internationally renowned Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe anchors a fantastic card on Sunday, Oct. 6. The Arc is a “Win and You’re In” prep for the Longines Breeders’ Cup Turf, and four other races held Sunday at Longchamp are also part of the Challenge Series.
Select Breeders’ Cup preps at Keeneland and Santa Anita will be shown live on the final two “Road to the Breeders’ Cup” telecasts from NBC Sports. Action from Saturday will air nationwide on NBC from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., while preps scheduled for Sunday will air on CNBC from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Both shows will also be streamed on Peacock.
All of the Breeders’ Cup preps from Keeneland and Santa Anita will also air on FanDuel TV, and that network will provide comprehensive coverage of Keeneland’s fall 2024 meet from Oct. 4-26. FanDuel TV will also show live racing during the week from tracks including Gulfstream Park and Woodbine as part of their daily schedule.
Races from the huge Sunday Arc de Triomphe card at Longchamp can be watched on FanDuel TV and also on FS1 during a broadcast from 9:30-10:30 a.m. ET. Action from Belmont at the Big A can be viewed live on “America’s Day at the Races” from Thursday, Oct. 3, through Sunday. That NYRA-produced program airs on FOX Sports – check the below schedule for channels and times.
The popular Keeneland preview show “Today at Keeneland,” hosted by Gabby Gaudet and Scott Hazelton, will be streamed each day of the track’s live meet on Keeneland.com, Keeneland Select, and Keeneland’s YouTube channel, starting at 11:30 a.m. ET.
Horse racing from tracks around the world is available to subscribers on Racetrack Television Network (RTN), which can be livestreamed on all devices (computer, tablet and smartphone) and on TV via DISH Network, Amazon Fire and Roku.
