Italian Soiree won her first start impressively, taking a 5 ½-furlong sprint on dirt at the Belmont at the Big A meet in July 2024. She then finished a distant second to The Queens M G in the Grade 3 Adirondack Stakes at Saratoga and switched to turf for her final two starts at age 2, finishing fourth and fifth in graded stakes.
Italian Soiree won her first start impressively, taking a 5 ½-furlong sprint on dirt at the Belmont at the Big A meet in July 2024. She then finished a distant second to The Queens M G in the Grade 3 Adirondack Stakes at Saratoga and switched to turf for her final two starts at age 2, finishing fourth and fifth in graded stakes.
In her first three starts of 2025 at age 3, the Uncle Mo filly made little impression when trying stakes on both dirt and turf. But on July 11, she capitalized on a fast early pace in the 5 ½-furlong Grade 3 Coronation Cup Stakes on turf at Saratoga to surge to the lead near the finish and win with Luis Saez aboard.
The bay filly is trained by John Terranova and was bought for $600,000 by co-owner Hit the Bid Stable as a 2-year-old at the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Co. March auction in Florida. She is out of the Smart Strike mare Social Call and is a full sister to stakes winner Be Better, with Florida Derby winner and sire Scat Daddy another notable family member.
