Royalty Interest was given an extended break following her first defeat and returned eight months later to make her 4-year-old debut in an allowance race Feb. 1, 2024, at Tampa Bay Downs. She closed from off the pace to finish second by a head as the favorite. She regained her winning form one start later with a one-length win March 16 at Tampa in a 1 1/16-mile turf race.
Sent next to the Grade 3 Sheepshead Bay Stakes and stretching out to 1 3/8 miles at the Belmont at the Big A meet, Royalty Interest delivered a breakout performance when leading from start to finish to prevail by a head in a thrilling finish.
