Book’em Danno was a dominant 9 ½-length victor in his career debut Aug. 12, 2023, at Monmouth Park and made his stakes debut at the Oceanport, N.J., track a winning one when he prevailed by two lengths in the Smoke Glacken Stakes Sept. 9. The Bucchero gelding was next entered in the $150,000 Futurity Stakes, which was originally scheduled to be held on the turf as a “Win and You’re In” Challenge Series race for the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint. However, inclement weather forced the Oct.

However, inclement weather forced the Oct. 8 race off the grass onto the main track, and Book’em Danno capitalized with an easy 6 1/2-length win from just off the pace as the 2-5 favorite, completing three-quarters of a mile in 1:09.47.
Book'em Danno kicked off his 3-year-old campaign with a 12 1/2-length win in the $50,000 Pasco Stakes at Tampa Bay Downs on Jan. 13, 2024, and he used that as a stepping stone to enter his next race, the $1.5 million Group 3 Saudi Derby in Saudi Arabia, where he battled favored Forever Young down to the wire and settled for second by a head. Forever Young came back to win the UAE Derby in Dubai and then finished a close third in the Kentucky Derby.
Book'em Danno stuck to sprinting and made his next start in the Grade 1 $500,000 Woody Stephens Stakes going seven furlongs for 3-year-olds on the Belmont Stakes undercard on June 8, 2024. Sent off as the 2.85-1 second choice in a field of 11 in the Woody Stephens, Book'em Danno raced mid-pack and then made an explosive move to the lead in the stretch and then held off the late runners to prevail by a half a length.
