Alpine Princess

Alpine Princess, a Classic Empire filly, posted her first win in her second career start, rallying to score by a head in a seven-furlong maiden race on dirt during Saratoga’s summer 2023 meet. She flopped in her first stakes appearance and next start when finishing seventh in the Darley Alcibiades Stakes at Keeneland but then closed out her juvenile campaign with two consecutive victories in route races, including the Untapable Stakes at Fair Grounds.

In 2024, Alpine Princess won one of four starts with a second and a third, her victory coming by a dominant 9 ¾ lengths in the Remington Park Oaks. The Brad Cox trainee finished up her 3-year-old season by nearly capturing her first graded stakes victory, losing the Grade 3 Comely Stakes by a head at Aqueduct.

Alpine Princess was more active in 2025 at age 4, making seven starts through October including a second stakes victory in the Mari Hulman George Memorial Handicap at Horseshoe Indianapolis. The filly followed up that July win with a third-place finish as the odds-on favorite in the Groupie Doll Stakes and then a solid runner-up finish behind Royal Spa in the Grade 2 Locust Grove Stakes at Churchill Downs in September, setting her up for a breakthrough first graded stakes score in career start number 17 on Thanksgiving Day in the Grade 3 Falls City Stakes at Churchill. Alpine Princess led early in the 1 1/8-mile race, surrendered the lead to longshot Corningstone in the backstretch and through the far turn, and re-bid to take over in midstretch en route to a two-length triumph.

Bred in Kentucky, Alpine Princess is out of the Curlin mare Le Moine, and her second dam is stakes winner Retraceable.
