Trainer Cherie DeVaux Making a Name for Herself, Possibly en Route to Breeders' Cup

10.21.2021

She has been an assistant to leading national trainer Chad Brown and has worked up close with Breeders’ Cup champions like 2014 Juvenile Fillies Turf winner Lady Eli. Now, only a few years after going out on her own as a trainer, Cherie DeVaux could be Breeders’ Cup bound. In a new Breeders’ Cup preview interview, DeVaux spoke with Ren Carothers about her Juvenile Fillies hopeful Tarabi.

Listen as DeVaux also reflects on the courageous story behind Lady Eli and her battle with Laminitis. DeVaux gives us an inside look at what it’s like inside her home with husband, and noted bloodstock agent, David Ingordo who purchased the likes of Breeders’ Cup Classic winners Zenyatta and Accelerate. Wait until you hear the racing memorabilia the couple has collected and how DeVaux hopes she might soon add to their collection.
