
Sandman’s Success Just the Beginning for Influencer Griffin Johnson
Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve 1-2 finishers Authentic and Tiz the Law are among four North American horses situated among the best racehorses in the world according to the latest rankings presented by Longines.
Tiz the Law, runner-up in the Sept. 5 Derby and winner of the Belmont Stakes Presented by NYRA Bets and Runhappy Travers Stakes, is tied for third with Persian King and Stradivarius in the World’s Best Racehorse Rankings, earning a 125 rating. That is the best global rating for a dirt racehorse according to Longines.
Authentic, winner of the Derby as well as the TVG.com Haskell Stakes, earned a rating of 123. That ties him for ninth with five other horses, including Whitney Stakes winner Improbable and Whitney third-place finisher Tom’s d’Etat.
The leading racehorse in Longines world rankings is Ghaiyyath, who won the Aug. 19 Juddmonte International Stakes at York Racecourse in England and touts a rating of 130.
