Name: Maggie Wolfendale-Morley

How and when I was introduced to Thoroughbred racing: 0 years old

My favorite thing about Saratoga: Seeing all the champions and future champions year after year.

Best racing event I’ve ever covered: 2019 Travers

My favorite racetrack: Saratoga, duh

My favorite Thoroughbred racing event: Breeder’s Cup

You know a lot about equine body language. What’s the first thing you look for in a horse in the paddock? A happy, healthy horse.

Other sports/teams I follow: Football, Baltimore Ravens, New Orleans Saints. A bit of golf and the Olympics.

What I would like to see more of in Thoroughbred racing: Horses racing well into their 5- to 6-year-old years, and beyond. Universal rules and regulations.

What I would like to see less of in Thoroughbred racing: A handful of trainers getting all the “nice horses.” Spread the wealth. There are a ton of good horsemen out there.

Three words that define what Thoroughbred racing means to me: It’s my life.

Favorite all-time Thoroughbred: Hesa Big Star
