Chitu Secures Kentucky Derby Spot In Sunland Derby

In the final prep race of the Kentucky Derby trail's first phase of the Kentucky Derby Championship Season, trainer Bob Baffert held two powerful cards in Chitu and Midnight Hawk in the Sunland Derby. Baffert wasn't to be disappointed in his decision to ship the colts to New Mexico as Chitu beat his fellow trainee by 2 1/4 lengths, securing himself a spot in the Kentucky Derby.
