Jessie Oswald is a freelance turf writer and full-time paralegal residing in Louisville, Ky. Her work as a turf writer has been featured in the Blood-Horse, Courier-Journal, U-T San Diego, Business Lexington, and BreedersCup.com, among others. She’s currently the secretary of the National Turf Writers And Broadcasters and a regular contributor to the Louisville-based website Louisville.com. She’s been writing about horses since 2011 and has covered the past five editions of the Kentucky Derby.
