After an exciting Memorial Day weekend of racing at several prominent tracks, the calendar turns to June on Saturday featuring a stakes-rich card at Churchill Downs as well as graded stakes at Santa Anita Park and Woodbine.

There’s so much to explore in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., if you’re planning to visit for the summer meet that runs from July 11 to Sept. 2. Well before you get to the track, you have to check out what Saratoga has to offer when it comes to food and drink. This article is for my fellow beer drinkers.

Saratoga Springs, N.Y., plays host to thousands and thousands of racing fans every summer and many of those come back again and again every year for the annual summer race meet at Saratoga Race Course. The entire city of Saratoga Springs centers around horse racing when the traditional meet is held, and racing nostalgia and history can be found everywhere you look. The racetrack is only part of the Saratoga experience, and a day at the races is only the beginning of a typical visit.

Every year, hundreds of thousands of people make the pilgrimage to Saratoga Springs, N.Y., for one of the most celebrated meets in the world of horse racing. This year, instead of heading to Saratoga Race Course in mid-July, fans will start pouring into town much earlier for an historic running of the Belmont Stakes Presented by NYRA Bets on June 8.
