Activity in the horse racing world is ramping up this week in advance of the 42nd Breeders’ Cup World Championships at Del Mar on Oct. 31-Nov. 1. Pre-entries for the Breeders’ Cup will be drawn Wednesday, Oct. 22, at noon ET/9 a.m. PT, and that announcement will be televised on FanDuel TV and on the Breeders’ Cup website. After that, contenders not already based at Del Mar will start making their way to southern California for what should be another exciting event at the seaside track.
In addition to showing the pre-entries announcement, FanDuel TV will launch its popular “Breakfast at the Breeders’ Cup” series covering workouts and news on Friday, Oct. 24. The show will air daily through Thursday, Oct. 30, starting at 10 a.m. ET/7 a.m. PT.
FanDuel TV continues with its daily racing coverage this week highlighted by the final four days of Keeneland’s Fall Meet ending Saturday, Oct. 25, followed by the start of Churchill Downs’ November meet Sunday, Oct. 26. The network will also show live racing from other tracks including Santa Anita Park (which ends its fall meet Sunday), Woodbine, and Gulfstream Park.
A staple during Keeneland’s meet is the “Today at Keeneland” show, a 30-minute preview beginning each day of live racing at 11:30 a.m. ET and hosted by Scott Hazelton and Keeneland’s new director of communications, Gabby Gaudet. “Today at Keeneland” streams live on various outlets including Keeneland’s website and YouTube channel.
Racing from Belmont at the Big A is showcased on “America’s Day at the Races” airing on FOX Sports channels for a five-day span Wednesday through Sunday. Two harness racing broadcasts covering the Breeders Crown at Mohawk/Woodbine will also air on FS2 Friday, Oct. 23, and on Saturday.
Horse racing from tracks around the world is available to subscribers on Racetrack Television Network (RTN), which can be livestreamed on all devices (computer, tablet and smartphone) and on TV via DISH Network, Amazon Fire and Roku.
