After a successful 150th running of the Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve last weekend that set a record for betting handle and earned the highest television ratings since 1989, coverage of horse racing dials back the excitement for the upcoming weekend – but only briefly, as the 149th running of the Preakness Stakes May 18 at Pimlico in Baltimore, Md., will be broadcast nationwide on NBC Sports and receive international media attention as it always does.

This week, coverage of racing at Churchill Downs continues as its spring-summer meet resumes Thursday, May 9, but also expands to include Pimlico, which kicks off its Preakness meet the same day. Racing from Churchill and Pimlico, as well as from tracks such as Santa Anita Park, Gulfstream Park, and Horseshoe Indianapolis will be shown live on FanDuel TV as part of their normal daily package.

Monmouth Park opens its popular 2024 summer season of racing on Saturday, May 11, and this year, racing from the Jersey Shore will be showcased on “America’s Day at the Races” per an announcement from Monmouth and NYRA Bets on May 6. “America’s Day at the Races” will, as usual, show live racing from the NYRA circuit’s Belmont at the Big A meet from Thursday through Sunday on FS2 and FS1 – check the schedule below for air times.

Horse racing from tracks around the world is available to subscribers on Racetrack Television Network (RTN), which can be livestreamed on all devices (computer, tablet and smartphone) and on TV via DISH Network, Amazon Fire and Roku.
