The 2022 Longines Kentucky Oaks on May 6 at Churchill Downs drew a spectacular crowd to the Louisville venue despite ominous weather forecasts for steady rain. Instead, the inclement weather held out for much of the day as fans enjoyed a fantastic day celebrating the fillies under the Twin Spires, and there were still plenty of smiles when the rain started to fall late in the afternoon.

Check out some of the sights and scenes, courtesy of Eclipse Sportswire, from Churchill on a terrific day of racing highlighted by the $1.25 million Kentucky Oaks, a 1 1/8-mile race for the best 3-year-old fillies in North America.
