Where to Watch/Listen: Horse Racing Coverage for Sept. 30-Oct. 4

After a a light final weekend in September, the Road to the 2021 Breeders’ Cup World Championships resumes at full tilt with a total of 14 preps scheduled from Oct. 1-3. Seven will be held at Santa Anita Park during the opening weekend of its fall meet, two are at Belmont Park, and five overseas preps will be held Sunday at Longchamp racecourse in France.

TVG is the go-to network for “Win and You’re In” preps at Santa Anita. The racing network will show the American Pharaoh Stakes (a Challenge Series prep for the TVG Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Presented by Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance) the Chandelier Stakes (a qualifier for the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies), and the Speakeasy Stakes (a prep for the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint) on Friday as part of “The Great Race Place’s” opening-day card.

On Saturday, TVG will show the Awesome Again Stakes (Longines Breeders’ Cup Classic), Rodeo Drive Stakes (Maker’s Mark Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf), and the Santa Anita Sprint Championship Stakes (Breeders’ Cup Sprint) from Santa Anita. And on Sunday, TVG will broadcast the Zenyatta Stakes, a qualifier for the Longines Breeders’ Cup Distaff.

The NYRA-produced “America’s Day at the Races” show presented by America’s Best Racing will broadcast the Champagne Stakes (a prep for the Juvenile) Saturday and the Frizette Stakes (Juvenile Fillies) Sunday as part of its ongoing coverage of Belmont Park’s fall meet. “America’s Day at the Races” will also cover racing at Churchill Downs and will be shown on either FS2 or FS1 – check the below schedule for air times.

A special Sunday morning broadcast of “America’s Day at the Races” will cover three of the five Challenge Series races at Longchamp racecourse in France, headlined by the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, a qualifier for the Longines Breeders’ Cup Turf. That broadcast will air on FS2 Sunday from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. ET, with the Arc scheduled to run at 10:05 a.m. ET. Lastly, the entire Longchamp racecard on Sunday will be shown live on TVG.

A busy week of live streaming coverage focuses on Breeders’ Cup preps at Santa Anita. On Friday, a new show in the “Breeders’ Cup en VIVO!” series will be live streamed starting at 5:15 p.m. ET. The show will focus on the American Pharoah Stakes, the Chandelier Stakes, and the Speakeasy Stakes. Presented en Espanol, “Breeders’ Cup en VIVO!” is hosted by ABR’s “La Trifecta” team of Darwin Vizcaya, Claudia Spadaro, and Annise Montplaisir plus other personalities. “Breeders’ Cup en VIVO!” airs on America's Best Racing’s Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube channels, Breeders’ Cup’s Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube channels, and Santa Anita Park’s Facebook and YouTube Channels.

On Sunday, ABR presents a “Santa Anita: Road to the Breeders’ Cup LIVE!” show focusing on the Zenyatta Stakes. Sunday’s show will be hosted by Dan TordjmanRen Carothers and Ellis Starr with guests Ryan Flanders and Ashley Mailloux. The start time for “Santa Anita: Road to the Breeders’ Cup LIVE!” will be 7:30 p.m. ET, and it will be live streamed on America's Best Racing’s Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube channels, Breeders’ Cup’s Facebook and Twitter channels, and Santa Anita Park’s Facebook and YouTube Channels..

In addition to the Breeders’ Cup live streaming coverage, “Always Be Racing” returns for a new show on Friday, Oct. 1. Hosted by BlackJack Fletcher and Danielle Moinet, the show begins at 3 p.m. ET. “Always Be Racing” can be viewed on ABR's Facebook and Twitter channels as well as BlackJack's Twitter account and Danielle's Twitter account.

The next edition of ABR's “The Winner’s Circle” will air on Monday, Oct. 4 at 11 a.m. ET. Presented by NYRA and NYRA Bets and hosted by Bram Weinstein and Dan Tordjman, “The Winner’s Circle” will wrap up the weekend action in horse racing and elsewhere in the sports world. “The Winner’s Circle” can be viewed on ABR’s Facebook and Twitter channels and Bram Weinstein’s Twitter channel. Archived episodes of “The Winner’s Circle” are available as podcasts via Apple and Spotify.
