After a year in which the COVID-19 pandemic forced the postponement of many races, limited or eliminated fans from attending live racing, and caused a general global upheaval, the Longines Kentucky Oaks and Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve returned to their traditional spot on the racing calendar in the spring at Churchill Downs.

The Kentucky Oaks on April 30 offered a small glimpse of a return to normalcy in horse racing with spectators in limited numbers enjoying a beautiful afternoon under the famed Twin Spires at the Louisville track.
