Jareth Loveberry grew up in rural Michigan and began his riding career in the early 2000s at the now-closed Great Lakes Downs. He paid his dues by riding at a variety of tracks in the Midwest, including a five-year stint at Mountaineer Park, before settling in at Oaklawn Park and Canterbury Park during the mid-2010s.
Jareth Loveberry grew up in rural Michigan and began his riding career in the early 2000s at the now-closed Great Lakes Downs. He paid his dues by riding at a variety of tracks in the Midwest, including a five-year stint at Mountaineer Park, before settling in at Oaklawn Park and Canterbury Park during the mid-2010s.
Loveberry then moved his tack to Arlington Park in Chicago and became the leading jockey there for the 2020 and 2021 meets, winning his first graded stakes at the track in 2021 aboard Bizzee Channel in the Arlington Stakes. After Arlington closed, he relocated to Fair Grounds and found immediate success, finishing 10th in wins and earnings for its 2021-22 meet.
In 2023, Loveberry gained exposure as the regular jockey for leading Kentucky Derby contender Two Phil’s. Two years later, Loveberry found himself back on the Derby trail with Risen Star Stakes and Louisiana Derby runner-up Chunk of Gold.
