Zany made her career debut as a 2-year-old at Gulfstream Park on Nov. 2, 2025, and cruised to a 6 1/2-length win in a 6 1/2-furlong maiden race. She was brought to New York to make her second start versus stakes company in the Grade 2 $250,000 Demoiselle Stakes going 1 1/8 miles at Aqueduct on Dec. 6 and she took care of business handily in that spot with a dominant 8 1/2-length victory atop a field of six fillies.

After a two-month break, Zany returned for her 3-year-old debut Feb. 7, 2026, and romped by 2 ¾ lengths in the one-mile and 40-yard Suncoast Stakes at Tampa Bay Downs. She then finished second in the Grade 1, 1 1/16-mile Central Bank Ashland Stakes April 3 at Keeneland, tallying enough additional points to qualify her for the Longines Kentucky Oaks.
Zany is trained by Todd Pletcher and owned by Repole Stable. She was bred in Kentucky by the sire American Pharoah out of the mare Mo' Green by Uncle Mo.
