Watchtower, a Demarchelier filly, made her first five starts at five different tracks from fall 2023 through spring 2024. She won her first race in start number three, taking a one-mile turf race at Tampa Bay Downs on Jan. 20, 2024, and then followed that up with another win, this time in a dead heat in a 1 1/16-mile allowance optional claiming race at Gulfstream Park on April 6.

She won her first race in start number three, taking a one-mile turf race at Tampa Bay Downs on Jan. 20, 2024, and then followed that up with another win, this time in a dead heat in a 1 1/16-mile allowance optional claiming race at Gulfstream Park on April 6.
The filly did not make another start until September, and resurfaced with trainer Richard Baltas on the West Coast. She finished second in two allowance races on turf at Del Mar and Santa Anita before making her first stakes start in the Grade 3 Autumn Miss Stakes held on Oct. 27, Santa Anita’s closing day. Under strong urging from Diego Herrera, Watchtower rallied through the stretch of the one-mile turf race and edged odds-on favorite Medoro by a nose.
Kentucky-bred Watchtower is out of the stakes-placed Exchange Rate mare Zloty.
