Tyler’s Tribe is an Iowa-bred gelding who won his career debut at Prairie Meadows on June 20, 2022, by 16 ¾ lengths in a state-bred maiden race at 4 ½ furlongs. Tyler’s Tribe went on to dominate Prairie Meadows’ juvenile races with three stakes victories in a row between 5 ½ and six furlongs in the Prairie Gold Juvenile Stakes, which he won by 8 ½ lengths; the Iowa Stallion Futurity, which he won by 12 ½ lengths; and the Prairie Meadows Freshman Stakes, which he won by 15 ½ lengths on Aug. 27.

Tyler’s Tribe is from the first crop of Sharp Azteca, winner of the Grade 1 Cigar Mile Handicap Presented by NYRA Bets in 2017 and that year’s Las Vegas Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile runner-up. Tyler’s Tribe is out of Impazible Woman by Mission Impazible. He was a $34,000 purchase at the 2021 Iowa Thoroughbred Breeders and Owners Association fall sale. He is trained by Timothy E. Martin, who competes mostly at Prairie Meadows, and is owned by Martin and Thomas D. Lepic.
