Touch'n Ride

Touch'n Ride made his career debut as a 3-year old in a maiden race at Woodbine on July 1, 2023 and then broke his second career start on July 30. That victory sent him straight into the $1 million King's Plate Stakes on Aug. 20, where he finished a respectable fifth in a large field in only his third career race.

Touch'n Ride came back with a win in the third jewel of Canada's Triple Crown in the $400,000 Breeders' Stakes, prevailing by a nose at 1 1/2 miles on the grass at Woodbine on Oct. 1. He then entered his first graded stakes race on Oct. 21 in the Grade 3 Ontario Derby going 1 1/8 miles on Woodbine'a all-weather main track. He finished second in the race but was moved up to first via the disqualification of the original winner, Solo Album.

Touch'n Ride is trained by by Layne Gillforte. He was bred in Ontario, Canada by the sire Candy Ride out of the mare Niigon's Touch by Niigon.
