Surveillance became a stakes winner for the first time in his 20th career start, winning the $175,000 Thanksgiving Classic Stakes at Fair Grounds on Nov. 24, 2022. Surveillance ran the six furlongs in a time of 1:09.93 to secure a half-length win atop a seven-horse field.

He followed with a victory by two lengths in the Richard R. Scherer Memorial Stakes Dec. 26 at Fair Grounds for back-to-back stakes wins.

The Constitution gelding made a nice 6-year-old debut with a one-length stakes win in his Jan. 21 at Fair Grounds in the Duncan F. Kenner Stakes to extend his stakes winning streak to three. He was winless in his final five starts in 2023.

Surveillance halted a six-race winless stretch in his second start of 2024, a February victory in an allowance-optional claiming race. He later added allowance wins at Churchill Downs and Saratoga Race Course before earning the most lucrative victory of his career with a 3 ¼-length win in the $300,000 Troy Stakes, a sprint originally slated for the turf that was moved to the main track because of wet weather.

Surveillance was bred in Kentucky by the sire Constitution out of the mare Majorelle, by Mizzen Mast, from the family of champion Phone Chatter.
