Solitude Dude began his career as a 2-year-old with a 6 1/2-furlong maiden win at Gulfstream Park on Nov. 1, 2025. He then reeled off back-to-back stakes wins starting at Tampa Bay Downs in the $102,000 Inaugural Stakes at six furlongs on Dec. 6, and then in his 3-year-old debut in the $150,000 Swale Stakes going seven furlongs at Gulfstream Park on Jan. 31, 2026.

Solitude Dude attempted to stretch out to a route for the first time in the Grade 2 Coolmore Fountain of Youth Stakes going 1 1/16 miles at Gulfstream Park in Feb. 28 and finished third when beaten 2 1/4 lengths in a nine-horse field. The Fountain of Youth was a points race on the Road to the Kentucky Derby presented by Woodford Reserve, and with his third-place finish he earned 15 qualifying points.
