Social Paranoia

After finishing second three times and third once in his first four races, Social Paranoia competed in the Grade 3 Pilgrim Stakes in his final start as a 2-year-old and again ran third.

Social Paranoia returned to a maiden special weight race for his 3-year-old bow and earned his first win in his sixth career start, drawing away to an eight-length runaway March 30, 2019, on the grass at Gulfstream Park.

Social Paranoia subsequently finished third in both the Grade 2 American Turf Stakes presented by Ram Trucks in May at Churchill Downs and the Grade 3 Pennine Ridge Stakes in June at Belmont Park. He then finished second by three-quarters of a length in the Grade 1 Belmont Derby Invitational Stakes.

Social Paranoia posted his second career win in his final start as a 3-year-old when he rallied to a half-length win in the Exacta Systems Dueling Grounds Derby Sept. 8 at Kentucky Downs.

Returning from a 6 ½-month layoff in the Grade 3 Appleton Stakes March 28, 2020, at Gulfstream, Social Paranoia closed powerfully for a visually impressive victory to secure his first graded stakes win.

Social Paranoia finished third and sixth in his next two stakes tries, at Gulfstream Park and Belmont Park respectively, but regained his Appleton form with a driving win in the Grade 3 Poker Stakes at Belmont on July 4, defeating a competitive field.

Social Paranoia is a full-sibling to stakes winner Dekabrist.
