Shotgun Hottie

Shotgun Hottie began her career as a 2-year-old and earned her maiden victory in a 1 1/16-mile dirt races at Churchill Downs on Nov. 28, 2021. Two starts later in her 3-year-old debut, she won the $100,000 Ruthless Stakes going seven furlongs at Aqueduct on Feb. 6, 2022. As a 3-year-old, she went on to finish third in the Grade 3 Gazelle at Aqueduct on April 9, second by a nose in the Grade 3 Delaware Oaks on July 2, and was second again in the Grade 3 Monmouth Oaks on July 31.

Shotgun Hottie won her 4-yearold debut in an Oaklawn Park dirt route on March 12, 2023, and later earned the second stakes win of her career with a 5 1/2-length victory in the $100,000 Lady's Secret Stakes at Monmouth Park on June 10. Shotgun Hottie finally earned the first Graded stakes win of her career back at Monmouth Park on July 22 when she won the $500,000 Grade 3 Molly Pitcher Stakes going 1 1/16 miles atop a seven-horse field. Sent off as the 8.20-1 fourth choice on the tote board, Shotgun Hottie won by a half a length in a winning time of 1:43.43 under jockey Paco Lopez.

Shotgun Hottie was bred in Kentucky by the sire Gun Runner out of the mare Re Entry by Malibu Moon.
