Red Carpet Ready

Red Carpet Ready was a perfect 2-for-2 in her 2-year-old season is 2022. She won her career debut in a Churchill Downs maiden race on Oct. 30 when she went wire-to-wire at six furlongs to score by 10 lengths. She followed that up with an equally impressive performance in her second start, when she won the $200,000 Fern Creek Stakes at 6 1/2 furlongs at Churchill Downs on Nov. 26 by 3 1/4 lengths.

Her first start of her 3-year-old campaign came in the Grade 3 $125,000 Forward Gal Stakes going seven furlongs on the main track at Gulfstream Park on Feb. 4, 2023. Sent off as the second choice on the tote board in a nine-horse field in the Forward Gal, Red Carpet Ready pressed the pace, took over into the stretch, and drew off to an easy 2 1/4-length victory in a seven-furlong time of 1:23.54. She paid $6.60 to win.

Red Carpet Ready stretched out to a mile for the first time in the Grade 2 Davona Dale Stakes presented by FanDuel TV March 4 at Gulfstream Park. She battled for the lead into the stretch but faded late and finished third in her first career defeat.

Returning to a seven-furlong sprint in the Eight Belles Stakes presented by Sysco on the May 5 Longines Kentucky Oaks undercard at Churchill Downs, Red Carpet Ready battled bravely in the stretch to hold off previously unbeaten Munnys Gold for a head victory.

Red Carpet Ready took a seven-month layoff and returned to the races for the first start of her 4-year-old campaign in the Grade 3 $125,000 Hurricane Bertie Stakes at Gulfstream Park on March 9, 2024. Sent off as the 4-1 odds fourth choice on the tote board in a field of seven fillies and mares going 6 1/2 furlongs on the dirt, Red Carpet Ready stalked the pace and took over in the stretch to win by a half a length. 

Red Carpet Ready is trained by Rusty Arnold. She was bred in Kentucky by the sire Oscar Performance out of the mare Wild Silk by Street Sense.
