Ready for Candy raced seven times as a 2-year-old during the 2023 season and although he was winless, he competed in several stakes races as a maiden and did fairly well against that level of competition at Woodbine with in-the-money finishes including a second in the Catch a Glimpse Stakes, a second in the Grade 3 Mazarine Stakes, and a second in the Princess Elizabeth Stakes.

Finally having had enough of her distinction of still being a maiden, Ready for Candy exited the maiden ranks in the first start of her 3-year-old season with a victory at Saratoga on Aug. 17. 2025. With that formality out of the way, Ready for Candy was again right back up in class against stakes company for her next race and right back in the winner's circle for the second time in a row when victorious in the Grade 3 $175,000 Winter Memories Stakes going one mile on the turf on Sept. 20, gutting-out a narrow nose win atop an eight-horse field.
Ready for Candy recorded her third straight victory when she scored by a neck as the favorite in the Grade 2 $200,000 Sands Point Stakes for 3-year-old fillies going 1 1/8 miles on the turf at Belmont at the Big A on Oct. 18.
