Quattroelle (IRE)

Quattroelle began her career as a 2-year-old in 2020 with a third-place finish in a maiden race at Leopardstown, and then was victorious when imported to the United States for her second start in a maiden mile grass race at Santa Anita on Oct. 3. She finished her 2-year-old season with a win in the Blue Norther Stakes at Santa Anita on Dec. 31.

Quattroelle made only three appearances in her 3-year-old year in 2021, but failed to win. Her best finish was a third in the March 5 China Doll Stakes at Santa Anita.

Quattroelle went trackward six times during her 4-year-old season in 2022, all at Santa Anita or Del Mar. He lone victory of the campaign came in a Santa Anita allowance race on Oct. 15. She ended the year with a third-place finish in the Grade 3 Robert Frankel Stakes at Santa Anita.

Quattroelle returned for her 5-year-old season on Feb. 4, 2023 and got the year off on the right foot with a win in the Grade 3 $100,000 Megahertz Stakes at Santa Anita. Quettroelle used a strong surge in deep stretch to emerge from a multi-horse scramble for the win. She went the one mile on firm turf in a time of 1:35.04 to win by a half a length.

Quattroelle added another stakes win to her ledger in her following start, which came in the Grade 2 $200,000 Buena Vista Stakes going one mile on the turf on March 4 at Santa Anita. Sent off as the 3-1 second choice on the tote board in a seven horse field in the Buena Vista, Quettroelle stalked the pace in mid-pack and came with a sustained closing move to get up in time to score a half-length win in a time of 1:35.74 over a turf course labeled good.

Quattroelle is trained by Jeff Mullins. She was bred in Ireland by the Irish sire Mehmas out of the French mare Heavenly River by Stormy River.
