Plum Ali, a First Samurai filly owned by Michael Dubb, Madaket Stables, and Bethlehem Stables, won her debut by two lengths in a 1 1/16-mile turf race in July 2020 at Saratoga. She then shipped to Kentucky Downs for her stakes debut in the one-mile Mint Juvenile Fillies Stakes on Sept. 7 and again won impressively, scoring by 2 ¾ lengths.
Trainer Christophe Clement then brought his filly back to New York for the Grade 2 Miss Grillo Stakes at Belmont Park on Oct. 4, and the filly made it 3-for-3 to start her career with a dominant 2 ¼-length win under Jose Ortiz.

Plum Ali made her 3-year-old debut in the Grade 2 Appalachian Stakes Presented by Japan Racing Association at Keeneland on Apr. 3, 2021. She fell behind a slow pace, but closed strongly in the stretch to finish third.
After several more defeats in stakes races, Plum Ali broke through for her first win of her 3-year-old season on Nov. 14. She won the Winter Memories Stakes by three-quarters of a length in gate-to-wire style.
Plum Ali started her 2022 season with a win in the Plenty of Grace Stakes at Aqueduct on Apr. 16. She came from off the pace and wore down favored Technical Analysis for the victory.
Plum Ali is out of the Stroll mare Skipping.
