The filly by 2016 Kentucky Derby winner Nyquist is from the great Phipps Stable family that produced unbeaten Hall of Famer Personal Ensign, Nycon’s third dam (maternal great-grandmother). Nycon’s dam (mother), Raise the Flag, is a half-sister (same dam, different sire) to champion Storm Flag Flying.
Nycon won her second career start on a muddy track at Churchill Downs as a 2-year-old in November 2025, and in 2026 she finished second in both the Cash Run Stakes at Gulfstream Park and the Busher Stakes at Aqueduct to put herself in the conversation for the Kentucky Oaks.
