Nevada Beach

Nevada Beach began his career as a 3-year-old when he debuted with a win at first asking in a Santa Anita one-mile maiden race on April 19, 2025. He immediately went right up against stakes company in his second start and finished second behind stable-mate Gaming in the $98,000 Affirmed Stakes going 1 1/16 miles at Santa Anita on June 8.

Nevada Beach scored his first stakes win in just his third lifetime start when he won the Grade 3 $100,000 Los Alamitos Derby going 1 1/8 miles atop a four-horse field on June 28.

Nevada Beach's next outing game against Grade 1 competition versus older horses in the $300,000 Goodwood Stakes going 1 1/8 miles at Santa Anita on Sept. 27. Nevada Beach was sent off at odds of 8.50-1 in a six-horse field but nevertheless proved to be up to the task and scored the upset with a 1 1/2-length victory over favored Full Serrano. Nevada Beach established a comfortable stalking position during the running of the race, challenged in earnest turning for home, and was able to draw off late under jockey Mike Smith in a time of 1:48.43. The Goodwood Stakes was a Breeders' Cup Challenge Series "Win and You're In" qualifying race for the Breeders' Cup Classic Nov. 1 at Del Mar, and with his win, Nevada Beach secured a fees-paid ticket to the Breeders' Cup.

Subsequently in the Longines Breeders' Cup Classic, Nevada Beach finished seventh.

Nevada Beach was not done with his 3-year-old campaign in the Breeders' Cup. His season continued next in the Grade 3 $100,000 Native Diver Stakes going 1 1/8 miles at Del Mar on Nov. 22. Sent off as the heavy favorite in a four-horse field in the Native Diver, Nevada Beach took care of business by a half a length in a workmanlike effort under jockey Juan Hernandez.

Nevada Beach is trained by Bob Baffert. He was bred in Kentucky by the sire Omaha Beach out of the mare Morrow Cove by Yes It's True.
