Myopic broke his maiden in his third career start. He won a maiden special weight at Indiana Grand Race Course by six lengths on June 23, 2021 in a gate-to-wire performance.
Myopic finished second in stakes races in each of his next two starts. He was second, beaten 1 1/4 lengths in the Manitoba Derby at Assiniboia Downs in Winnipeg on Aug. 2. Next out, he was the runner-up in the Grade 3 Canadian Derby at the same track on Sept. 11.
