My Sister Nat (FR)

A Group 3 winner in her native France, My Sister Nat joined the barn of Eclipse Award-winning trainer Chad Brown and made her U.S. debut in June 22, 2019, at Belmont Park, where she ran third in an allowance race.

She followed with a close fifth-place finish, beaten by less than a length, and another third before running second in the Grade 3 Long Island Stakes Nov. 30 in her final race of 2019.

The Acclamation mare returned from a long layoff to make her 5-year-old debut in the Grade 2 New York Stakes June 27 at Belmont Park and finished second to highly regarded Mean Mary. She then earned her first stateside victory with a determined half-length win over Mrs. Sippy in the Garde 3 Waya Stakes Aug. 8 at Saratoga Race Course.

Following that win, My Sister Nat competed in seven consecutive graded stakes over the next 12 months without a win. She finished second three times and third twice in that span, the runner-up finishes coming in the 2020 and 2021 Glens Falls Stakes and the 2020 Flower Bowl Stakes. She returned for a repeat bid in the Waya Stakes on Oct. 3, 2021. Sent off as the odds-on favorite in the race, which was held at Belmont Park, My Sister Nat broke her winless streak with an off-the-pace rally under Jose Ortiz.

Shipped to California for the Grade 1 Maker's Mark Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Turf at Del Mar on Nov. 6, My Sister Nat rallied wide and got up for second at 25-1, for the best finish of any American horse in the race.
