Jody's Pride

Jody’s Pride made a sparkling 2-year-old career debut Aug. 9, 2023, at Saratoga Race Course in an off-the-turf maiden special weight race at 5 ½ furlongs, powering well clear in the stretch to a 10 ½-length romp under Flavien Prat.

Entered next in the six-furlong Matron Stakes on the grass Oct. 8 at the Belmont at the Big A meet, the American Pharoah filly again capitalized when the race was taken off the turf due to inclement weather over the weekend. She made a bold move on the turn and surged clear to a 3 1/4-length victory in 1:10.77 for six furlongs on the main track. Her next race was the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies going 1 1/16 miles at Santa Anita on Nov. 3, when she just missed by a neck to Just F Y I and finished second.

Jody's Pride began her 3-year-old campaign in style with an easy 2 1/4-length win in the $200,000 Busher Invitational Stakes going one mile on a sloppy track at Aqueduct on March 2, 2024. Unfortunately, that would be the highlight of her 2024 season. She started just twice more and failed to hit the board both times.

Jody's Pride enjoyed a career resurgence as a 4-year-old in 2025. Her first outing of the season resulted in a third-place finish when beaten a total of only a neck in the Grade 2 Inside Information Stakes going seven furlongs at Gulfstream Park on Jan. 25. She was later back at the Belmont at the Big A meet on May 10 when she topped a seven-horse field to win the Grade 2 $200,000 Ruffian Stakes at one mile by three-quarters of a length in a time of 1:35.04.
