Inthemidstofbiz, a Fed Biz filly, broke through with her first career stakes win on a big stage, taking the Grade 2 Thoroughbred Club of America Stakes at Keeneland on Oct. 3, 2020, and earning an automatic berth to the Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Sprint via the “Win and You’re In” series.
Inthemidstofbiz, a Fed Biz filly, broke through with her first career stakes win on a big stage, taking the Grade 2 Thoroughbred Club of America Stakes at Keeneland on Oct. 3, 2020, and earning an automatic berth to the Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Sprint via the “Win and You’re In” series.
The filly won her career debut at Fair Grounds in December 2018 and was claimed out of her third race by co-owner and trainer Cipriano Contreras nearly a year later. She began her 4-year-old season in 2020 with a win at Oaklawn Park and showed good form through seven subsequent starts, never finishing worse than fourth and reaching the winner’s circle twice. Those two races preceded her graded stakes debut and included a listed stakes win at Presque Isle on the synthetic Tapeta Footings track.
With her TCA victory, Inthemidstofbiz improved her career record to six wins from 13 starts. She is out of the stakes-winning Closing Argument mare Midst.
