Hey Nay Nay (IRE)

Hey Nay Nay, an Irish-bred No Nay Never colt, won his career debut sprinting on turf by 1 ½ lengths at Santa Anita Park on June 1, 2025, and then shipped across the country for his stakes debut and ran even better, taking the five-furlong Tyro Stakes on turf Aug. 2 at the New Jersey track by seven lengths.

Trainer John Sadler brought Hey Nay Nay back to his California base and stretched him out for his third start, the one mile Grade 3 Del Mar Juvenile Turf Stakes on closing day of the track’s summer meet, Sept. 7. With Hector Berrios riding, Hey Nay Nay sat just off the early leader, took over entering the stretch, and maintained a safe advantage late, winning his third career start without a defeat by 1 ½ lengths.

Hey Nay Nay is out of the winning Street Cry mare Travel and is a half-brother to Group 2 winner Global Storm. Grade 2-winning filly and Kentucky Derby runner-up Eight Belles is a notable family member.
